Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description

Greensight is a rapidly growing, dynamic company delivering automated drone and robotics technologies to transform industries. We are growing an elite team of engineers, combining their skills to lead one of the fastest growing industries in the world.

We are seeking highly-capable engineers to participate in the design and development of software across all aspects of our drones, robots, and cloud processing infrastructure. This person must be mentally flexible and have the ability to pick up new skills quickly. Example tasks might include implementing a custom backend services to run on cloud infrastructure or critical edge computing processes to run on small single board computers. You could be asked to develop new features for existing open source Android or node.js projects.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced, small team startup environment.  We are open to a hybrid working arrangement, i.e. split between working remotely and being in our Charlestown office.

 US citizenship or US permanent residency (Green Card) is REQUIRED.

Qualifications / Requirements

Required Skills:

  • BS or MS in software/computer engineering or computer science and 2+ years industry experience. (Additional relevant experience can substitute for the degree.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; comfortable working as part of a team including with all departments of the company (i.e. marketing, sales).
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio of data processing and web applications
  • Experience developing in Python and writing unit and functional testing
  • Experience working with Linux command line environments
  • Experience developing APIs with ORMs
  • Experience with revision control systems like Git.

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of robotic systems and log data mining
  • Experience working with image processing toolboxes/modules or software such as OpenCV is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with cloud computing platforms (AWS or GCP)
  • Familiarity with web Mapping libraries for Java/Javascript and/or Python is a plus (e.g. leaflet, openlayers, GDAL or similar)
  • Experience with Android App development
  • Basic knowledge of photogrammetry and/or photography

Compensation / Benefits

Salary for this position is strongly dependent on experience and education and expected to be between $110k and $140k.  We anticipate hiring multiple individuals at various levels of seniority. Compensation package includes stock options, health insurance, short and long term disability, and 401k with match. GreenSight offers a 9/80 flexible work schedule, and gives everyone the week between Christmas and New Years off in addition to their 15 days of paid vacation.

Southwest Region Sales Representative

We are seeking a smart, highly-capable sales professional to sell our tech services and products to turfgrass customers in the southwest region of the United States. These services and products include the TurfCloud software dashboard, our cutting edge drone service, robotic mowers, soil moisture sensors, and additional software-based services.

The candidate must be a resident of Arizona prepared to work from their home office. Candidate must be a self starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of urgency, and the ability to treat every potential sale as if you own the company. Although a library of interested leads will be shared and discussed with the candidate once hired, you must be capable of creating your own 'leads’. The candidate must be capable of understanding and implementing the company's technological tools after a short training period. The desired candidate should be able to make sales via screen shares/web casts as successfully as they sell through face-to-face meetings.   

Qualifications / Requirements

  • An associates degree in turf management, environmental horticulture, or equivalent
  • Experience working in the golf course or turfgrass production environment

Greensight is a dynamic, fast paced small company developing robotics technologies to transform industries. We have built one of the most widely deployed automated drone intelligence platforms in the world, and develop technologies in robotics, remote sensing, artificial intelligence and communications. Our prospective hires will help build and operate UAV's and robots as well as participate in the design and test of new systems such as super-high-performance aircraft (multicopters and fixed wing), swarming systems, autonomous systems that integrate both flying and wheeled robots,  cloud-based analysis software, advanced avionic platforms, and AI software tools that improve reliability and safety of platforms. 

We're looking for 5 Engineering Co-ops to help us develop UAVs, robots (ground/amphibious/underwater), software systems (including software for processing data), propulsion, and other associated robotic systems.  The co-ops will work fulltime from January through June July or August 2024. Our Coop positions are for a MINIMUM OF 5 MONTHS.

We purposefully keep this job description unusually broad, because we have a wide enough variety of ongoing work that we can hire students from a wide variety of majors. In the past we've hired students studying mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, and business, both undergraduates and masters students. (Masters students are especially encouraged to apply.)

We are seeking a hands-on and versatile electrical engineer to help design and produce the growing range of avionics, sensors, propulsion systems, radios and cameras that we use on our UAVs and robots. You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and tackling any electronic problem that arises.

Qualifications / Requirements

Core skills we are looking for:

  • Circuit and PCB design software such as KiCAD or Altium
  • Familiarity with setting up and using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
  • Electrical test and acceptance test design and implementation
  • Electrical prototyping skills including soldering and reflow SMT components, breadboarding proto circuits, and modifying PCBAs
  • Familiarity with PCB production and assembly

Desired, but not required, experience:

  • Aircraft electronics, avionics and sensors
  • Microcontrollers and associated circuits
  • Power electronics such as switch mode supplies, BLDC motor controllers and battery management circuits
